My new Nokia 6623 arrived yesterday…
It’s soo cool… the camera is a beaut 2 mPixels, with great zooming.
It has a radio & media player; 64MB micro SD card…
With 3G compatibility, the only reason why I have this new phone is that it was offered as part of the Optus/Qantas Frequent Flyer partnership, where I will now earn 3 points for every $1 spent! Wuhoo!
No out-of-pocket charges; a timely renewal of my contract (due to expire in December) – the only two downsides are:
- The phone colour is black (I didn’t get a choice) – but even so, black isn’t that bad.
- The phone charger unit is not backwards compatible with the 3 existing Nokia chargers…
Wasn’t yesterday’s weather just perfect… 28! I took the opportunity to have lunch in the city @ Camy’s, where I ran into RC… someone I haven’t seen in a few months… and a fellow Monash/BusSys alumni as well as a friend who I knew thru church/FOCUS…
So anyway, last night was a total contrast, wasn’t it! But, at least it’s not raining now/today! The four of us on the Overflow Rego/Admin team got together last night…room and tribe allocations weren’t that difficult… and I was able to wow the girls with my computer/Excel skills to provide quick answers…
So… back to work… it’s a short week! WUHOO! (Crap-side being the amount of work I need to get thru beforehand…)
2014 thoughts: To think I got all excited about that phone, some eight years ago now! Just shows how far we have come. At the time, the iPhone was being incubated in the labs of Apple...
